The “Arabic Writing Skills and Linguistic Proofreading” workshop

The “Arabic Writing Skills and Linguistic Proofreading” workshop was held, which continued over the course of Wednesday and Thursday, September 20 and 21, 2023, at the headquarters of the University Performance Development Center.

The training was conducted on the first day by Professor Dr. Mahmoud Al-Jaidi, Professor of Linguistics in the Department of Arabic Language and Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University. The training was conducted on the second day by Professor Dr. Al-Sayed Khidr, Professor of Linguistics at the Faculty of Education, Mansoura University.

The topics of the training sessions included a number of topics, including:

1-The correct use of punctuation marks and their relationship to scientific writing.

2-The importance of spelling and the correct spelling of words, especially in writing hamzats of all kinds, and so on.

3- Principles of correct writing in cases where grammatical errors are common, especially in cases expressed using letters

The “Arabic Writing Skills and Linguistic 4- Some principles of scientific research methodology and avoiding errors, with practical examples through the many dissertations discussed by distinguished professors.This workshop is considered a qualitative shift in the programs and services provided by the Translation Unit, which will be repeated on regular dates in the future to achieve the greatest benefit for faculty members and researchers, both male and female, at Mansoura University.This is under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Al-Alfy, Director of the University Performance Development Center, Dr. Samah Al-Saeed, Deputy Director, and Dr. Iman Obaida, Director of the Authorship, Translation and Publishing Unit..
