A symposium at the Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University discusses “the challenges facing students of the Faculty of Arts to work in the field of sports media”

    Yasterday, Tuesday, April 30, 2024, the Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University, organized a symposium entitled “The Challenges Facing Arts Students to Work in the Field of Sports Media.”
This is under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Professor Dr. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Mahmoud Suleiman Al-Jaidi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Mr. Professor Dr. Wael Al-Sayed Al-Borai, Vice President of the College for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Dr. Dalia Raslan, Coordinator of Student Activities at the College of Arts, Dr. Mohamed Sabr Saraya, Rapporteur of the Students for Egypt Family at the University, Mrs. Dr. Doaa Fathi Nour, Leader of the Students for Egypt Family at the College of Arts, and Mr. Abdel Rahman Zaid, Director of Student Welfare at the College.
The symposium was organized by the Faculty of Arts Student Welfare Administration in cooperation with the Students for Egypt family, Faculty of Arts.
The College hosted the media personality, Professor Mohamed Iraqi, Director of Media at the Egyptian Football Association, Coordinator of the National Teams, Media Director of the United Sports Company, Head of the Sports Department at Youm7, and Head of Sports Content at Al-Hayat Channel.
It hosted Mr. Walid Mahdi, Director of Investment and Sponsorship Rights at the Football Association.
The symposium began with a welcoming speech by Professor Dr. Mahmoud Suleiman Al-Jaidi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Dr. Wael Al-Sayed Al-Borai, to the distinguished guests and urging the importance of the symposium.
During the symposium, journalist Muhammad Iraqi spoke with the students about how to enter and keep up with the labor market in the field of sports and digital media.
Iraqi stressed, “The student must have more than one language to speak in all areas of work, and to develop self-skills and benefit personally from them. For example, the translator who accompanies the foreign national teams that enter the homeland.
Iraqi continued: “There is a need for every individual in Egypt to have an identification card from my ticket to use it on all occasions that require a prior appointment, such as matches and parties.
It is worth noting that Muhammad Iraqi and Walid Mahdi made a promise to the students at the college, to hold training courses to train the students and keep pace with the labor market in the coming period. The symposium witnessed a tribute from the college to Karim Badir, captain of the Mansoura team, and Nader Al-Sayed, the team’s defender, who led the team to qualify for the professional league.
