The Second Employment Forum for the Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information Systems Program at the Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University

Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, received Prof. Dr. Mohamed Zaki El-Sedimi, Professor of Human Geography at Tanta University and former Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Tanta University and President of the Egyptian Geographical Society, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Sabawy, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Minya University, Prof. Dr. Mustafa El-Baghdadi, Professor of Human Geography, Ain Shams University, during their participation in the second employment forum for the Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information Systems Program, which was organized by the Faculty of Arts at the university today, Tuesday, September 17, 2024, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Affairs and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Suleiman El-Gaidi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ghoneim, Professor of Sociology and former Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Reda Sayed Ahmed, former Dean of the Faculty and organized by Prof. Dr. Shohdi Abdel Hamid El-Khawaga, Executive Director of the Program, Prof. Dr. Wael Abdullah Salem, Head of the Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems, Program Coordinator Dr. Asmaa El-Sharbasy, Forum Coordinator Dr. Rabab Abdel-Hakim Ibrahim. The forum aims to display the scientific production of student projects in the Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information Systems program and participation in the labor market, to identify the most important points that students need in the employment process, and to develop the available means for employing students, understanding the nature of the external labor market, and the most important skills that students acquire in the labor market. The forum was organized with the participation of 18 surveying bodies and companies to attend the students' presentation of the projects. The forum's activities included 14 sessions to display scientific production in the field of surveying, mapping and geographic information systems, and companies presented all the latest job opportunities in the field. Protocols were also concluded between surveying companies and the Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information Systems program to develop students' skills to keep pace with the labor market.
