Negative Values” in the Conference Hall at 12 noon
This is within the framework of the executive plan of the Ministry of Higher Education and the Supreme Council of Universities to disseminate correct thought and confront the negative effects of extremist thought, and in cooperation between the Student Welfare Committee and the Committee to Combat Terrorism and Extremism at Mansoura University headed by Prof. Headed by Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater - Dean of the Faculty of Law and organized by Prof. Suhair Waheed - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; And coordinated by Prof. Dr. Tamer Mohamed Saleh - Professor and Head of the Criminal Law Department and Vice-Chairman of the Anti-Terrorism and Extremism Committee at the university
This is under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abdel Baset, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El Meligy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Suleiman Al-Jaidi, Dean of the College, and Prof. Suhair Mohamed Waheed El-Din, Vice Dean for Affairs Community Service and Environmental Development, and Ms. Dr. Dalia Raslan - Student Activities Coordinator
And in implementation of the directives of His Excellency the President / Mr. Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi - the President of the Republic regarding combating abnormal concepts and ideas and confronting extremist ideology and terrorism in Egypt, and in the interest of the university to increase the awareness of university youth, the weight of their personal faculties, and the advancement of their ideas.
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Suleiman Al-Jaidi, Dean of the College, expressed the welcome of the College of Arts and the Committee to Combat Terrorism and Extremism at the university to all the attendees. He also explained the importance of developing thought and culture and the role of Mansoura University in combating negative values in society. His Excellency also touched on the seriousness of those negative thoughts. Ali the progress and renaissance of countries, explaining that the most dangerous of these ideas is wasting public money and it is not permissible to replace it, whether by use or destruction.
Then Prof. Dr. Sharif Khater delivered his speech in which he expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Faculty of Arts for hosting this valuable cultural symposium. Then, His Excellency touched on the misconceptions and negative values that appeared among the young generation, which was the reason for the establishment of the Committee to Combat Terrorism and Extremism Intellectual at the university, His Excellency also touched on the role of the committee in combating incorrect ideas and values that contradict the tolerant religious values, and made it clear that every individual in society has an important role in combating incorrect ideas and values. Then Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aal Al-Waqidi - Professor of Grammar and Morphology in the Arabic Language Department at the College, gave his speech during which he explained the importance of combating incorrect values and concepts and its dangerous impact on the renaissance and progress of countries. and abnormal concepts and values, as His Excellency directs advice and guidance to all students after yielding to the news and information circulated on social networking sites that are untrue, and investigates the accuracy and validity of the information before relying on it in building opinion.
At the end of the meeting, the discussion and dialogue was opened with all students and their inquiries were listened to and answered. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Suleiman Al-Jaidi - Dean of the college gave the college shield to each of Mr. Prof. Sherif Khater - Dean of the Faculty of Law and Mr. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aal Al-Waqidi, professor of grammar and morphology in the Arabic language department at the college, in appreciation of their efforts and effective participation in order to enrich the knowledge of college and university students. The symposium was attended by a group of faculty members at the university: Prof. Al-Rifai, Professor of Modern and Contemporary History in the Department of History, and Professor Dr. Randa Bligh, Professor of Ancient Egyptian Archeology. At the end of the symposium, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Suleiman Al-Jaidi expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Student Welfare Brigade at the college for their active participation in organizing the symposium’s activities headed by Mr. Ahmed Al-Ashry and Mr. Abdul Rahman Ibrahim Al-Desouki Zaid, the cultural coordinator Who presented the symposium, and all thanks and appreciation to Dr. Dalia Raslan, coordinator of student activities at the college.
