“Values of Loyalty,Belonging and Fighting Extremism.
Today, Wednesday, April 13, 2022, the Faculty of Arts, in cooperation with the Committee for Combating Terrorism and Extremism at Mansoura University, organized a cultural symposium in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Arts entitled: “Values of Loyalty, Belonging and Fighting Extremism.” Khater _ Dean of the Faculty of Law and nod to the directives of His Excellency President / Abdel Fattah Al Sisi _ the President of the Republic on combating abnormal concepts and ideas and confronting extremist ideology and terrorism in Egypt, and the university’s keenness to increase the awareness of university youth and the weight of their personal faculties and elevate their ideas
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abdel Baset - President of the University and the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meligy - Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development. It is supervised by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Suleiman Al-Jaidi _ Dean of the College of Arts and organized by Prof. Dr. Suhair Waheed _ Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. And coordinated by Prof. Dr. Tamer Mohamed Saleh - Professor and Head of the Criminal Law Department and Vice-Chairman of the Anti-Terrorism and Extremism Committee at the university
It will be lectured by Sheikh Safwat Nazeer Al-Mursi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf in Dakahlia, and Dr. Mohamed Rashwan Mohamed, Head of the Central Administration of Al-Azhar Institutes in Dakahlia. The symposium began with a speech by Prof. Mahmoud Al-Jaidi, during which he expressed the welcome of the Faculty of Arts and the Committee for Combating Terrorism and Extremism at the university to all attendees. His Excellency also explained the importance of instilling the spirit of belonging and loyalty in the hearts of young people because of its important role in combating extremism and terrorism in all its forms, explaining the role of the Faculty of Arts in particular and Mansoura University in general in developing the role of loyalty and belonging among university students.
Then Mr. Dr. Muhammad Rashwan gave his speech, during which he explained the importance of combating incorrect values and concepts. He also touched on the importance of rationalizing reason and logic in all matters and not yielding to false ideas and news. He also urged young people to use reason and logic in forming the correct opinion, explaining the values of the tolerant Islamic Sharia. Which fought all violence and extremism. Then His Eminence Sheikh Safwat Nazir gave his speech during which he expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Faculty of Arts in particular and Mansoura University in general in developing and enriching the religious and cultural awareness of university students, as His Excellency emphasized that love of the homeland and belonging to it is a national necessity and compels us To cherish him through interest in science and work, and to inculcate within us and our children the virtue of the homeland over us.
At the end of the meeting, the door for discussion and dialogue was opened with all students, and their inquiries were listened to and answered. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Jaidi presented the college shield to Sheikh Safwat Nazir and Dr. Muhammad Rashwan in appreciation of their efforts and active participation in order to enrich knowledge. I have college and university students. His Excellency also thanked the college’s youth care for their active participation in organizing the symposium’s events.
